Our Mission
Our commitment to quality and affordability sets us apart and addresses the rising cost of necessities that disproportionately impact low-income families.
Our stores fulfill a role beyond retail as familiar neighborhood hubs where neighbors can find care and connection they need to thrive.
Unlike traditional material aid programs, Second Harvest’s nonprofit retail model prioritizes the choice and dignity of the people we serve while also reducing waste.
Our approach not only addresses immediate needs, but also promotes a sustainable business model. We endeavor to generate regular, reliable revenue sufficient to cover the full cost of doing business, and reinvest store profits in the form of grants to local organizations serving our community.
