Make a Gift
Too many families in our community are struggling with the rising cost of necessities. For these households, a trip to the store can mean making hard choices: Breakfast or electricity. A child’s winter coat or dinner on the table.
Your generosity changes how these households get from day to day.
Your gift today fills shelves and fuels hope in Sharpsburg. Every act of generosity fuels a business model that goes beyond traditional aid to create lasting access to quality, affordable goods in our community.
Your support makes the difference between stores where neighbors can shop for essentials, and stores that provide essential community services. Make a one-time gift online, or set up a recurring payment to provide critical sustaining support for our mission and programs.
If you prefer to pay by check, your payment can be mailed to:
Payable to: Second Harvest

A couple of weeks ago, we had the chance to meet Shirley and Michelle when they stopped into Harvest on Main for the very first time.
Locals to O’Hara, they made the trip over after finding us on Facebook. They told us they’re already regular shoppers at Second Harvest, so it was especially fun to welcome them to Harvest on Main, too. We love when familiar faces discover another part of what we do.
Before they headed home, they picked up a few household essentials, some sweet treats for Michelle’s husband, and a few baked goodies for Shirley. It was such a joy getting to welcome them in, and we hope to see them again soon.

Chef Blakely is always trying something new in the kitchen, and we’re not complaining. ☀️
This time, it’s a fresh lemon berry vinaigrette made with ingredients from the market. Bright, simple, and perfect for summer salads or grilled salmon.
We love trying new recipes, sharing ideas, and seeing what people enjoy. If you give this one a try at home, we’d love to hear what you think. Or, let us know if it’s something you’d like to see on our shelves in the future.
Things are always changing around here, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and see what Chef Blakely is making this week. You just might find a new favorite.

What keeps you coming back to Harvest on Main?
We wanted to hear it from the people who know us best, so we spent a little time talking with some of our neighbors. Riley and Abbey were kind enough to share what keeps them coming back, what they like to pick up while they’re here, and why having Harvest on Main in the neighborhood matters to them.
We’re always looking for ways to be better neighbors, and conversations like these remind us that the market is shaped just as much by the people who walk through the doors as it is by the food on the shelves.
If you see us around the store with a camera, don’t be surprised if we ask you a question too. We’d love to hear your story.
