A meaningful milestone in making fresh, affordable food more accessible in Sharpsburg.
This season marked an important milestone for Harvest on Main: federal approval as a SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) retailer. The market now accepts EBT payments, expanding access for households using food assistance and helping make fresh, nutritious food more affordable.
In the months ahead, we plan to introduce Food Bucks—a program from The Food Trust that offers extra dollars for fresh produce when shopping with SNAP—helping neighbors make the most of their grocery budgets while bringing more healthy food to the table.
These are milestones we’re proud of—and one that brings us closer to our vision of a market that belongs to our whole community.
