HOURS
The Community Free Fridge at Second Harvest is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year for neighbors to take what they need, and leave what they don’t.
While meeting material and relational needs is why we exist, neighbors like you are the how behind these critical programs.
Our free fridge runs on community generosity. Take action to help neighbors meet their food needs with dignity and anonymity.

This kind of weather has a way of bringing up travel plans.
If you’ve got a trip coming up, there are a few pieces of luggage on the floor right now. Gently used and holding up well for another trip.
If you’re planning some time away, you’re welcome to come by and see what’s here.

What happens to meals that don’t sell? At Harvest on Main, they don’t go to waste.
As prepared meals near their sell-by date, they’re discounted — making them even more accessible. And anything still in the case is purchased through our food budget and stocked in the Community Free Fridge at Second Harvest.
It’s one way we’re working toward a near zero-waste market — while keeping good food within just a few blocks of where it’s made.
This Earth Day, we’re proud to share a model where less is wasted and more is shared.
We call it Second Serving — and it’s made possible by neighbors like you.

The NFL Draft is here, and Pittsburgh’s feeling it. 🖤💛
We’ve got some Steelers gear on the shelves - clothes, cups, hats, and a few one-of-a-kind finds. All secondhand, all ready for this moment in the city.
Stop by to see what you can find and make sure you’re ready Thursday.

Something good is cooking today at Harvest on Main.
Grandma Flo’s meatballs are always available as a grab-and-go quart (6 in each), but on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they’re served hot and made to order too!
Easy to pick up if you’re passing through and looking for something delicious for lunch or dinner.
