When you volunteer at Harvest on Main, you’re not just stocking shelves or bagging groceries – you’re ensuring every household can access affordable nutrition. Be a part of our vision to create a familiar neighborhood hub where people can find belonging, connection, and support. It all starts with caring people like you!
We have three shifts daily to fit your schedule. Browse the calendar below, click on a date, and choose your role — whether as a market volunteer in the retail space, or as a kitchen volunteer assisting the prepared foods chef or bakery manager. Once you register, we’ll send a confirmation with details.
Shifts are two hours, with morning and mid-day options available.
Tasks vary daily based on your role as either a market volunteer or kitchen volunteer.
Market volunteers will work under the guidance of the Market Manager and may conduct many tasks in the market retail space such as:

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Younger volunteers may participate if accompanied by an adult — we’ll tailor your role to match your age and ability.
Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes recommended — expect light lifting or movement.
Volunteer parking is available across from the thrift store at Sharpsburg Family Worship Center (corner of 8th and Clay Streets). Metered street parking is also available on Main Street.
